Day 1: USA or CanadaArusha, Tanzania

Arrive via overnight flight in Arusha, where you will be met and taken to the Arusha Coffee Lodge for an overnight stay. Arusha Coffee Lodge

 

Day 2: Arusha – Tarangire National Park

You will drive south west this morning to Tarangire National Park, second only to Ngorongoro Crater Conservation Area in concentrations of wildlife during the dry season. The Tarangire Treetops Camp features tree houses facing the Tarangire Sand River, a favorite waterhole for the large elephant population. Tarangire Treetops Camp, B, L, D

 

Day 3: Tarangire National Park

You will spend the day exploring this unique park with its amazing scenery and wildlife. Tarangire National Park is home to thousands of elephant and is symbolized by the Baobab tree. Tarangire Treetops Camp, B, L, D

 

Day 4: Tarangire – Serengeti National Park

This morning you depart for Tanzania’s largest national park, The Serengeti. Covering 5,700 square miles, the park is roughly the size of Connecticut. Private Luxury Camp, B, L, D

 

Days 5-6: Serengeti National Park

You will spend the next two days exploring the incredible savannahs and the kopjes of the Serengeti. The Serengeti National Park offers exceptional year round game viewing, and regardless of when you travel, both resident and migratory animals can be found due to the size and nature of the park. Day 7: Serengeti – Ngorongoro Crater Conservation Area

Prior to driving to the Ngorongoro Crater Conservation Area, you will visit Olduvai Gorge, world famous for the archaeological discoveries made there by Dr. Louis and Mary Leakey. Ngorongoro Lodge, B, L, D

 

Day 8: Ngorongoro Crater Conservation Area

Today you will spend exploring this natural wonder of the world with its scenic grandeur and stunning views. There are 25,000 larger animals within the crater itself, mostly zebra and wildebeest. However, this is undoubtedly the best place to see black rhino in Tanzania, as well as prides of lion that include the magnificent black-maned males. Ngorongoro Lodge, B, L, D

 

Day 9: Ngorongoro –
Lake
Manyara National Park

It will be a short drive this morning before you reach Lake Manyara National Park, a beautiful park located at the base of the Great Rift Valley escarpment. Lake Manyara’s main attractions are its rich bird life, its tree-climbing lions, its hippos, and large herds of elephants. Lake Manyara Serena B, L, D

 

Day 10: Lake Manyara – Arusha – USA or Canada

This morning you will return to Arusha, where day rooms will be reserved until your international flight out this evening. You will enjoy lunch and have the afternoon free to explore Arusha. B, L
